Some older ESET products (versions 5.x and earlier) still accept only a username and password, but they may also accept a License Key through a that occurs silently in the background. Method 1: Using the ESET License Administrator Portal (For Business and Legacy Licenses)
Modern ESET products utilize a (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) for activation, which has officially replaced the legacy Username and Password system. Consequently, there is no longer a standard way to convert a newer License Key back into a legacy Username and Password.
