Every time you clean the print head (either manually or automatically), the printer pumps a small amount of ink through the nozzles to unclog them. This ink does not go on paper; it drains into a spongy pad inside the bottom of the printer. Over months and years, this pad fills up. A warning prompt will appear asking for confirmation
Reach over to your physical printer and press the button to shut it completely off. Click OK on the computer screen prompt. Turn the printer back on.
Do not confuse this with the standard Epson printer driver. The Adjustment Program is a typically used by authorized Epson service centers. It allows technicians to:
Scroll down the pop-up list to find the section. Select Waste ink pad counter and click OK . Step 4: Check and Reset Check the box next to Main pad counter . If applicable, check the box next to Platen pad counter .
You can buy OEM waste ink pad sets for the L3256. Replacing them requires disassembling the entire printer chassis, removing the print head carriage, and swapping sponges. This is a 2-hour job for advanced users only.
